Financing
Dental Practice
The majority of dentists starting a practice require financing to
purchase the necessary equipment. Many dentists cannot afford to
purchase the needed equipment to run a practice without financing.
Mobile and permanent dentists can qualify for dental practice financing.
A dentist with a permanent office or one who is in partnership must
obtain a full selection of dental equipment in order to run their
practice. Some of the equipment they need included dental chairs,
sterilizers, x-rays, lasers, lights, and nitrous oxide systems, and the
list continues. All of this equipment is expensive, and this doesn't
include the office equipment, or the furniture for the reception area.
The needs of mobile dentists are different, for they must travel to
different locations. The patients of these dentists usually include
those individuals residing in nursing homes, hospitals, reservations,
and treatment centers. Mobile dentists equipment has to be portable and
light, many of these systems are combination units, featuring x-ray,
dental chair, operator's stool, with the capability to perform over 20
dentistry operations.
Dentists must choose whether to buy or lease equipment for their
practice. They can acquire dental practice financing, which allows them
to make monthly payments. Leasing also provides the dentists the
opportunity to try different instrumentation and upgrade at the end of
their lease terms.
